The Logan County Commissioners have tapped the experience and talents of Angel Payne to lead the Solid Waste District. Angel has worked at the Solid Waste District as Office Manager and later as Business Manager for 19 years. She has grown with the District and is familiar with every detail of its development, history, direction and all the various business engagements and connections within the county. In picking up the leadership mantel Angel will continue to lead the District toward it’s Zero Waste goal and use her expertise to fine tune the workings of the 15 Recycling Centers, the Material Recovery Facility in Bellefontaine that processes and markets all recycled materials, and the CHARM operations. With a supportive staff of eight she will lead the creation of the next Solid Waste District Plan, due to be written in 2014. Many challenges lie ahead, but she comes to a strong business that has navigated the economic downturn of the past four years and emerged stronger with a much larger physical and business footprint; and much of the credit for that success goes to her diligent and supportive work managing the finances of the District.
Angel is from Belle Center and lives just north of the Village with her husband, Jeremy, and daughters along with a bevy of animals which they show at the Logan County Fair each summer.
